Pharrell Fulfillment

Posted on: December 4th, 2014 by Tina

There are adults that can go to a bar and order a drink and then discuss about how they have never known a time when Pharrell was not responsible for at least one hit song on the radio. This is an incredible feat, worthy of so much more than a playlist, but that’s all that I can offer (plus my eternal love and respect). So let’s take a moment and look back at Pharrell’s incredible career so far …and think before you fuck with lil Skateboard P.

Chain Reaction Vol. 1

Posted on: October 12th, 2014 by Tina

“Said she loved my necklace, started relaxing
Now that’s what the fuck I call a chain reaction” – Jay Z (Money Ain’t A Thang)

Don’t worry, this is not a necklace-themed playlist – a different kind of chain reaction, but I think Jay Z would approve regardless.

2014 Summer Playlist

Posted on: June 17th, 2014 by Tina

Summer has finally arrived! And because I love summer, every year I make a playlist perfect for all summer activities: parties, barbecues, pregaming, going to the beach, day drinking, sitting on decks, on rafts, whatever! It’s hard to anticipate what songs people won’t hate in a week, let alone 3 months. So here it is, the official TinaCast Summer playlist for 2014: love em, hate em, take em or leave em.

So Fresh / So Clean

This time of year the flowers are blossoming, trees are blooming, and the grass is greener than ever. (The pollen makes allergies a nightmare, but that’s for another playlist.) In the springtime, everything feels brand new, and so do I ..and with this playlist (and some sunshine) so will you.

Deductions Like Sherlock

Get out your balance sheets, it’s the sexiest time of the year: tax time. Time to report all your income to the government, because you know, the feds are watching. Cars, houses, chains, boats, private jets — find out which items are deductible with this playlist of rappers and their big-ticket purchases. And if I know anything about taxes, it’s that it’s important to write off as much as possible.* (All these big companies, they write off everything.)

April Showers

April Showers Playlist

For the start of spring — a playlist inspired by April’s signature weather, rain. I wish I could tell you this mix was about the majesty of mother nature, but a playlist made of rap songs with the word “rain” in them… is mostly about throwing money at strippers. yay!

F-U February

F-U February

Between the terrible weather, lackluster new music, rough roads  and fewer days, February left a lot to be desired. So let’s say goodbye to February the way it treated us: “Fuck you February, see ya next year!”

December is a busy time of year, and this playlist is a great way to get through that mob at the mall, or (realistically) the time you’ll spend on Amazon. But don’t get too lost in the music — these guys really know how to spend ( should pay me for this playlist).

Feat. Drake

Feat. Drake Playlist

Not unlike cowbell, I gotta have more Drake! And that’s who this month’s playlist is all about, because these days it seems like “every song sound like Drake featuring Drake.” So, let’s take a look back at some of the songs Drake has made infinitely better by his presence alone.
