50’s latest single “Smoke,” features vocals by Trey Songz over a beat produced by Dr. Dre and Dawaun Parker.
The significance of the title, “Smoke” is found in the hook: “Somebody pull the fire alarm/ girl where ya from?/ ‘Cause you got this club on fire/ and outside I bet all they smell is smoke.”
Which sounds a lot better than their original title, “Buffalo Wings.”
50, you’ve been shot nine times
…of course we’re going to worry.
2004’s “How We Do” was The Game’s first top ten hit from his debut album, The Documentary. The song features 50 Cent, back in the days when The Game was still a member of G-Unit. The rhyming here is simple and infectious – The Game raps the entire song only rhyming words with an “un” sound. It’s like the hip-hop version of Goodnight Moon.
50 Cent’s latest “We Up,” is pretty forgettable.
I’m sure everyone saw Get Rich or Die Tryin, and knows 50 Cent has been shot nine times. So, is it too much to expect all of 50’s songs to pop off…?
