Mack Wilds recently released the video for his single, “Henny (Remix)” which features all of the famous friends listed above.
The actor-turned-crooner sings in the hook, “Hennessy, Hennessy, Hennessy / If I hit it then you gon’ remember me.” Metaphor aside, I can attest to the truth of this statement — I remember the one and only time I drank Hennessy, because it is disgusting. And as I stood there, making “this tastes awful” faces, I saw my dreams of being a gangster-rap icon vanish before my eyes…
Chris Brown recently released, X Files, a mixtape with six tracks that didn’t make the cut for his upcoming album, X. One of those tracks is “Sweet Caroline,” featuring Busta Rhymes, which is really good, despite the fact that it’s not a Neil Diamond cover.
Does anyone else have a sudden and mysterious desire to hear Chris Brown cover the whitest song ever?
Someone finally answered my prayer and gave the world a theme song for Thanksgiving.
I didn’t want to like this new song – it feels like the once-great Busta Rhymes is slumming with a song (with a hashtag in the title) about “Twerk-ing It” …But, eventually the Pharrell produced beat and guest spot by Nicki grew on me.
The verses sound like “Jamaican Patois For Dummies” because I can almost understand them, (unlike legit dancehall artists like Vybz Kartel, Beenie Man, Gyptian, etc.) However, keep in mind that anything I can understand is always “for dummies.”
