Iggy’s latest single “Beg For It,” finds Iggy rapping and Danish singer MØ on the hook. The track is the official lead single for her upcoming album Reclassified, a reissue of The New Classic, out November 24th.
The single follows a formula similar to “Fancy” and “Black Widow” except that “Beg For It” has a wacky bridge with lyrics like, “Made me wanna laugh like har-de-har-de-har, Oh eh oh nuh-uh oh eh oh nuh-uh.” Laugh like what? I’m not sure whose giggle Iggy is basing these lyrics on, but I have a feeling their “oh eh oh laugh” definitely competes with the “hiss laugh” for Most Annoying Laugh.
You know the “hiss laugh” …it’s the worst.
Jennifer Lopez recently dropped a remix of “Booty,” the second single off her A.K.A. album. The latest version substitutes Iggy Azalea’s rhymes for Pitbull’s.
JLo performed her new single (sans Iggy) at the Fashion Rocks Concert held at the Barclays Center on Tuesday night in Brooklyn. And, strangely enough, at a derrière-centric show where JLo performed “Booty” and Nicki Minaj performed “Anaconda,” the biggest ass there was …this guy — who stripped down to his boxers and said, “I actually don’t feel comfortable unless I’m in my Calvins”
Calvin Klein makes jeans too. In fact, all kinds of clothes.
T.I. drops new music in preparation of the release of his upcoming album, Paperwork. Produced by DJ Mustard, “No Mediocre” also features T.I.’s Grand Hustle label mate, Iggy Azalea.
Throughout the chorus, T.I. states that he only wants the best, “Bad bitches only, Ain’t no mediocre, Don’t want no mediocre, I won’t hit no mediocre.” I guess this is a better philosophy to live by than the one I’ve been using — Cookie Monster’s “C is for Cookie (and that’s good enough for me).” Because Cs get degrees.
“Problem” is the first single off Ariana Grande’s upcoming sophomore album. The song features a guest appearance from Australian rapper Iggy Azalea and an uncredited performance by Big Sean who whispers the hook, “I got one less problem without ya.”
While some people think the song is specifically about ditching the bad-boy in your life, I believe it’s a metaphor for removing all of life’s problems. Jackie knows what I’m talking about…
“Black Window,” features Rita Ora on the hook, and is the fifth single from Iggy’s debut album, The New Classic, out Monday.
The song plays on the black widow spider’s predilection for sexual cannibalism, a behaviour in which the female eats the male after mating. But, did you know black widows are not the only species known to do this? I find this stuff so fascinating — I’ve been telling everyone about a special I saw that said that the praying mantis, jumping spider and scorpions are among a number of species that kill each other after sex.
…so that’s where that first date went wrong.
Australian rapper Iggy Azalea recently released “Fancy” from her upcoming album, The New Classic, due out April 14th.
While Iggy and Charli Roman Numerals love being fancy, I find it exhausting. Not long ago I was dining with the Vanderbilts and confused my salad fork with my dessert fork — an an egregious faux pas if I’ve ever made one. Needless to say, I’ve been cut out of the charity gala circuit for weeks.
Iggy Azalea, an Australian rapper, was recently signed to T.I.’s Grand Hustle label. She is expected to release her debut album, The New Classic, in June. Until then, give “Murda Bizness” a listen and decide if she is deserving of the “promising new rappers” title so many have bestowed upon her. She’s a decent rapper, but mostly I really want to see some one challenge Nicki for the Queen of Hip Hop crown…
