Released in early March, “Want to Want Me” is the first single from Derulo’s upcoming studio album, Everything is 4. (Not to be confused with my upcoming studio album, Everything is Food.)
“Girl you’re the one I want to want me
And if you want me, girl you got me
There’s nothing I, no nothing I wouldn’t do
Just to get up next to you”
The chorus of this song (above), reminds me of something very weird that happened just now. So today, Tim Tebow signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. Upon learning this news, my cousin texted me to watch out for him around Philadelphia and what to do if and when he hits on me. I rolled my eyes and said, “I’m glad we went over this plan, this situation could present itself any minute now…”
Then I went back to work for a while… until I heard a knock at my office door:
She was right!!
Jason DeRulo’s recently released the fifth single off his Talk Dirty album, and it is already climbing the charts because Jason is an unstoppable hit making machine. On “Trumpets” Derulo sings about his girl, “Every time that you get undressed, I hear symphonies in my head.”
Which makes me wonder… what have some of my former flings heard in their heads, Etta James? Drake maybe? Berlin?
Who am I kidding? it’s probably the sound Charlie Brown’s teacher makes, or the theme song from “Psycho” on a good day.
“Wiggle” is the fourth single off of Jason Derulo’s Talk Dirty album. Speaking with Billboard, Derulo said about the song, “After I finished recording it I knew it would be a special record, so I reached out to the big OG homie, Snoop, and he blessed me with an incredible verse, and now the record is out of here.”
…wait for it…
Jason DeRulo dropped his new album, Talk Dirty, this past Tuesday and one of the standout songs is “Bubblegum,” which features a verse from Tyga and a beat by Jim Beanz and Timbaland. It’s no Trident, but 4 out of 5 dentists agree that this song is not about bubblegum.
Jason DeRulo took a quick break from writing songs about how much he loves his girlfriend, Jordin Sparks, to release his single, “Talk Dirty.”
2 Chainz makes a guest appearance for the sole purpose of demonstrating what it means to “talk dirty,” because DeRulo is about as proficient in dirty talk as Mayor Bloomberg is in Spanish.
This song, with its references to being drunk and disorderly, could either be about a petty crime spree, or falling in love – it’s hard to say. Jason has stated in interviews that the song was inspired by his real-life girlfriend, Jordin Sparks.
It’s her best work in years…
Jason DeRulo’s latest single is an upbeat dance song entitled, “Undefeated.” What a smart move. This song is begging to become the theme song for countless sports teams and events. It’s like “Who Let the Dogs Out” for the next generation. Why is that song played at every sports game?…
