Will.I.Am ft. French Montana, Miley Cyrus & Wiz Khalifa – Feeling Myself

 

Back in November, will.i.am released this song (and video) as the lead single from the expanded version of his fourth studio album #willpower. I heard it on the radio yesterday, so I guess it has “arrived.”

 

Something about will.i.am rapping lyrics like, “She give me IQ, that mean she get a-head,” and “And now I’m banging hoes in the Continental,” makes me uncomfortable, probably because I find him about as sexy as banjo music or German audiobooks.

Will.i.am and Britney Spears’ new song “Scream and Shout,” is okay. I want to hate it, because, well… have you seen this? And “Britney” has this terrible, weird Madonna-British accent. (Britney is in quotes because I don’t believe it’s her). Yet despite all of this, the song isn’t that bad…

I don’t understand. When will.i.am works with the Black Eye Peas he’s like pop music’s crack dealer. Yet when he goes solo, (#willpower will be his fourth solo album), the coke is cut too thin. Why does he keep making sub-par solo songs? What could the other Peas possibly be doing right now? “Sorry, Will, we can’t work on a new album, we’re too busy being obscure“…??
